When it comes to birthday parties, weddings, baby showers, bridal showers and other special occasions where party favors are necessary, the price tag on the event can get expensive.
Keeping party favors simple, but sweet can save the party host a lot of money. Most guests would love a treat or something edible to take home so that they don’t have to find another place in their home for a knick knack that they likely won’t use.
The easiest favors that I usually make for parties involve a cello bag, pretty ribbon and colorful candy. Sometimes, I add a nice gift tag if I have the time.
For these jelly bean party favors, I used:
3/8″ Satin Ribbon (to co-ordinate with the party colors)
Gourmet Jelly Beans(in the color theme of the party)
To make them:
1. Cut the ribbon into 4″ pieces (1 yard of ribbon will yield 9 pieces of ribbon)
2. Scoop 2 heaping tablespoons of jelly beans into each bag
3. Tie each bag with a double knot, using a 4″ piece of ribbon
That’s how simple these party favors were. I used bags that were pretty small so that they were cute and held just the right amount of jelly beans.
These make great favors because, you can use any color of ribbon and the jelly beans come in so many colors that you can easily match the colors of your party theme without much of an effort!
You can easily use other types of candy as well, such as:
or any other candy that may suit your party theme!
