I love baking during the holidays and I normally make individual cookies for each of my daughter’s classmates. However, this time I decided to make giant cookies instead. They were 15 inches tall and so fun to make!

I used my huge gingerbread woman and man cookie cutter set that I couldn’t resist getting from CopperGifts.

I made a sugar cookie with the lady cookie cutter and decorated with lots of royal icing and Edible Ink Markers for the face. I used Gold Sanding Sugar to decorate the belt.

For the other cookie cutter, I made a gingerbread man and decorated with royal icing.

The kids loved them! I also got to use the cookie cutters to make giant baby cookies for my sister’s baby shower a while back and they were a huge hit!

The only thing I did differently this time was that I rolled out the dough onto parchment paper, cut out the giant cookie, then removed the outer excess dough before carefully lifting the parchment paper onto a cookie sheet. The first time I used the cookie cutters, I tried to transfer the cut out shape onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. That was quite the challenge and they kind of got deformed and had to be re-rolled.
