raspberry lemonade recipe

Spring weather is just around the corner and that means it is getting even closer to the summer season! There’s nothing like nice colorful drink to welcome a new season and better weather! This pretty and delicious raspberry lemonade is perfect for parties, picnics, barbecues and just about anything else.

There are many ways to make raspberry lemonade, but I like to keep it simple by making a basic lemonade and adding fresh or frozen raspberries to it. The raspberries add a nice pink hue to the lemonade. Another way to make it is to add raspberry puree to the lemonade or even raspberry vodka or liqueur. (for adults only of course!) Either way, I always add whole raspberries to make it extra pretty.

How to Make Basic Raspberry Lemonade:

In saucepan, dissolve 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of hot water. Remove from heat.

Next squeeze the juice from 5 lemons and pour the juice into a pitcher. (I used a pretty shaded glass one) This one is similar 55oz. Pitcher, but is clear glass and not shaded.

Add 3.5 cups of cold water to the jug and then add the sugar mixture (which should be cooled down a bit by now). Stir well.

Stir in a half cup of fresh or frozen raspberries. You can add more or less, depending on how much you like raspberries! 🙂

If you are serving the lemonade immediately, then add 3 cups cold water and 1 cup of ice instead. Otherwise the raspberry lemonade can be refrigerated instead without ice and should be cold enough when it is time to serve it. Just remember to give it a stir before serving as some of the lemon may settle a bit at the bottom.

Linking up to some of these fun parties!
