All occasion cards are a must have in my house, especially since there are always last minute celebrations and get togethers to go to. I have a lot of fun making homemade cards and enjoy making them fancy and detailed. However, my sister doesn’t have a lot of the supplies I have, such as a paper cutter, Cricut Machine, fancy scissors, stamps, chalk or much of a paper selection and is always getting cards from me. I don’t mind at all, but we live an hour away from each other and she is better off going to the card store if she needs one at the last minute. The issue with the card store is that it sometimes gets a bit pricey if you want a cute card! So, I showed her a really simple way to make a nice card that requires very little effort!

To make this card, all you need is an 8″ x 8″ piece of high quality, heavy cardstock paper. I used a piece of patterned paper that is blank on one side so that the card can easily be written in. To doll it up a bit, you can add an embellishment such as a flower, ribbon or 3D sticker.

First, you fold the paper in half.

Then you take a 3D sticker embellishment, flower or ribbon bow if you prefer, and center it on the top half of the card. Adhere it to the card. That’s it! It’s so easy and it fits into a standard mailing envelope!

The lovely sticker I used is from the dollar store and the paper is from an 8×8 paper pad that I bought from Michael’s. Overall, the card cost a mere 60 cents to make and only few minutes of my time!
