I am a big fan of green tea and almost anything “green tea” flavored.  When it comes to moon cake, I usually eat a slice or two at most. If you are familiar with moon cake, you are aware that one cake is usually only 3 square inches or so, which means that a slice or two is not very much at all. However, when my parents brought over a green tea moon cake, which I didn’t even realize existed, I wanted to eat the whole thing!

The green tea flavor was more of an aftertaste since the sweetness of the cake was more dominating. I still really enjoyed the cake, but only ate half of it, since there was only one. The others were lotus flavored and of nut varieties. Green tea mooncake is definitely a treat that I could eat everyday, but unfortunately is not available all year round. I’ll have to look for them again next year!
