With the royal wedding date approaching, I have so many tea party bridal shower ideas floating around in my mind. I came up with these gold and white cookies inspired by the upcoming royal wedding. I may not be hosting a royal wedding, but these would be great for a tea party bridal shower.  I’m sure the bride to be would truly feel like a princess.

I used a basic sugar cookie recipe and cut the dough using a mini crown cookie cutter, mini shoe cookie cutter, mini teapot and teacup cookie cutters and a corset cookie cutter. I baked them, then iced them with plain white royal icing and used gold sprinkles and gold dragees to decorate. Although I could have tinted the icing whiter than it naturally was, I kept it simple and did not tint the icing.

Since I’m neither hosting a royal wedding or a tea party bridal shower, I will enjoy these elegant cookies with a nice cup of Earl Grey tea while watching the royal wedding with some friends.

Linking up to some of these fun parties!

Adorably cute – the details are so intricate it must have been a lot of work. Brilliant!

These are so beautiful, and so delicate looking. These would make a great gift at a wedding as a take away at the end of the reception. <3 Delicious!!
